Beginning the journey towards the next generation of intranet
Personal Information
Martin Risgaard Rasmussen is a part of the corporate communication department in the dairy company Arla Foods with the primary responsibility for the internal online communication platforms.
His main task, as one half of a two-person team, is to look after the global Intranet – also known as My Workplace – mainly when it comes to daily support of the global editor network, but also the strategic development of the intranet to make sure that it meets the requirements of the employees as well as the company in the best possible way.
In addition to the intranet he is exploring social media and how these can be used for communication both within the company but also with the ‘outside world’. In his opinion it is extremely important for internal comms people to stay up to date with what’s going on in the World Wide Web since this is the yardstick used to measure your intranet. You may not be able to meet all demands, but the first step is to know what demands you need to meet!
