Johannes started his career in the German tax office (from 1985 to 1992) and moved in 1993 into the B2B business and to Sequent Computer Systems GmbH where he was responsible as Sales Director Europe.
In 1999 Johannes left the company and started as the Sales and Marketing Director CER at Macro4 GmbH.
After a 2 year period, during which he worked as General Manager (DACH / Eastern Europe) at Hyperwave AG, he moved back to Macro 4 GmbH, where he was made General Manager Central Europe.
In 2008 Johannes changed his job to GCE Europe, where as Vice President Europe he is responsible for all business development activities of the group.

Personal Information

Russel Mills is the Global Director of Energy & Climate Change Policy for Dow Chemical. He is currently based at Dow’s European headquarters close to Zurich in Switzerland. Most of his career has been in market development, technology exploitation and global business management. He has also worked in consolidating acquisitions, setting up new businesses and managing Joint Venture operations. He is a physics graduate of Oxford University.
Mills has been working in the chemical and related industries for over 30 years. Regular job moves have taken him to the USA, UK, and the Netherlands and on several occasions to Belgium and Switzerland. Recent job assignments have included the Global Business Director role for the Cargill Dow bio-polymers joint venture, a secondment to European chemical industry associations, and leading the development of technology cooperation and government PPPs strategies for Dow in Europe.
Mills participated in the High Level Group on Competitiveness, Energy & Environment set up by the EU Commission in 2005, has represented the company at numerous energy and climate fora and chairs a number of key initiatives in this area on behalf of the global chemical industry.
Russel Mills is a British citizen, is married to a Kenyan, has two children and currently lives in Kuesnacht, Switzerland.

Personal Information

Alexandra Langenheld studied Environmental Science at the Technical University Berlin, and worked for two years, from 2002 to 2003, as Academic at the Faculty Architecture, Environment, Society, with the main focus on applied research, acquisition of research projects and teaching in the area of life sciences, notably renewable energies and sustainable transport.
Afterwards, from 2004 to 2006, she worked for the German Federal Environment Ministry, Department "Climate Protection, Renewable Energies", Berlin/ Germany. From 2006 to 2009, Alexandra was detached from the Federal Environment Ministry to the European Commission, Directorate-General Energy as a national expert in renewable energies and energy efficiency. Her responsibilities have been the preparation, implementation and/ or monitoring of polices and related activities for the deployment of renewable energies and energy efficiency.
Since September 2009 she is as a scientific officer responsible for energy efficiency at the Joint Research Center of the European Commission, Institute for Energy, Ispra/ Italy. The main focus of her work is on scientific analysis to support the implementation of EU's Integrated Climate and Energy Package, notably in respect to energy efficiency and the target to reduce primary energy consumption by 20% until 2020.

Dipl.-Ing. Markus Weber M.A. has studied environmental engineering and political sciences in Berlin (Germany) and Bergen (Norway). His involvement in emissions trading began with positions at a subsidiary of the German Standard’s Institute (DIN), PricewaterhouseCoopers, and Ecofys. He is now active as manager emissions trading for ThyssenKrupp. Notable achievements so far have been the developed a system for the verification of emission reductions, and the verification of app. 10% of the emissions of German companies during the allocation process for the first phase (2005-2007) of the European Emission Trading Scheme (ETS) in Germany as publicly certified expert on verification in GHG emissions trading, and the management of ThyssenKrupp’s emissions from 2005 onwards.

Antonina is currently covering the regional role for  NOKIA as a  Regional Environmental Manager for EMEA & INDIA managing  more then 20 countries.
In the latest years she was involved in many NOKIA LEED regional projects, all successfully USCBG Gold certified, Cluj factory in Romania is one of them. Antonina was involved in the Energy and Co2 reduction strategy at regional level. She holds a degree in Political Science (international private law specialization) , Environmental Management System internal auditor.
Her professional career started in the Telco business in 1990 joining SIEMENS ITALY SpA taking care of the African market followed by being responsible for the event organisations in ITALTEL SpA. In 1998 Antonina joined the Italian branch of NOKIA. After different positions in Education and Legal, in 2004 she focused on Sustainability matters taking wider sustainability responsibility within the Region.

Lean Six Sigma: A systematic and sustainable approach to energy efficiency in manufacturing

Personal Information

Jonathan Pugsley Graduated from Brunel University in 1988 with an Honours degree in ‘Engineering Metallurgy’.
He worked for his university sponsoring company Stanton PLC, Part of the global St Gobain Group as plant technical engineer, for two years before moving to a Steel Plant refractory design company.
Working in the UK and Europe designing, selling and installing state of the art precast refractory segments for all the major steel producers.
Then due to his fathers untimely death took over a family motor business expanding and growing that prior to selling to a major national chain of motor dealers.
In 1999 Jonathan moved to Ireland where he joined Masonite International as a mechanical engineer and then later Energy Manager and more recently process optimisation engineer.
Jonathan advocated the introduction of many energy saving initiatives over the past 9 years including, monitoring and targeting (M&T), variable speed drives, energy awareness campaigns energy monitoring software, lighting efficiency projects to name a few.
In recent years from 2006 Jonathan has been actively involved with Lean Six Sigma development at Masonite Ireland that has led to an increased focus on manufacturing efficiencies leading to enhanced energy efficiencies.
In 2004 and 2005 Masonite Ireland was awarded national energy efficiency awards by Sustainable Energy Ireland for best electrical efficiency projects and best coordinated energy management programmes.
In 2009 Jonathan Pugsley was awarded Irish Energy Manager of the Year by Sustainable Ireland.

Lieven Stalmans graduated with a Master Degree and Ph.D. in chemical engineering from Leuven University in Belgium. He joined Borealis in 2000 and became responsible for the energy efficiency program at the Borealis plants in Belgium in 2003. This responsibility further extended with the areas of CO2 emission trading and energy procurement. Since 2009 he is Group Manager Energy and Environment for Borealis. Lieven is active in a number of associations on national and European level, like the European Chemical Industry Council CEFIC, in the field of energy and environment. He is Chairman of the Working Party on Energy within the Flemish Chemical Industry Association.

Pieter Verberne graduated as MSc in Applied Physics at the Delft University of Technology. He has worked as a consultant and manager for various consultancies. In 2000 he joined Dutch energy exchange APX as COO. Pieter Verberne led the international expansion into the UK and Belgium and started the first continental exchange for gas. Since 3 ½ years, Pieter works as General Manager Energy for AkzoNobel Industrial Chemicals.
Pieter is involved in a range of industry bodies. Positions include the chairmanship of Cogen Europe and the chair of the CEFIC (EU chemical industry association) Special Interest Group on Energy. Pieter is lecturer on gas trading at the Energy Delta Institute in Groningen, the Netherland.

Patrick Clough joined Solar Integrated as Business Development Director in June 2010. He is responsible for developing fully financed turnkey solar power plants in France. Patrick Clough brings over 19 years of experience in developing innovative technologies and funding them, ranging from energy, infrastructure, to mobile telecommunications.
Prior to joining Solar Integrated Patrick Clough was Managing Director for iBand, an alternative 4th generation mobile solutions operator targeting corporates and based in Scandinavia and The Netherlands. Prior to founding iBand in 2004, he started a hotspot operator, Bizzgo, in 2000 which he led as CEO until it was sold to Meteor Networks in January 2004.
Before this he was Finance Director with Dolphin Telecom France, a European mobile Push-To-Talk operator, where he raised EUR 95 million for the French operation and managed the EUR 230 million annual budget. Between 1989 and 1998, Patrick arranged or participated in over EUR 2.5 billion of investments in the Energy, Telecom and Media sectors for BNP-Paribas (Vice President and Head of Telemedia Finance), Natexis (Assistant General Manager) and Fuji Bank. Prior to entering the finance sector, Patrick Clough was a field engineer for Schlumberger Oil Services in People’s Republic of China.
Patrick holds a First Class Honours Bachelor's Degree in Electronic Engineering, and a Master of Business Administration with highest distinction, both from the University of Western Australia. Patrick is a member of the UK Institute of Directors and is bilingual in French and English.

In 1996 Oliver began his career and was a Marketing Analyst in Product Development, Marketing at Siemens Power Generation (KWU) in Erlangen.
In 1999 he switched to OSRAM GmbH, where he worked as a project manager in strategic business planning.
A four-year stay abroad, from 2001 to 2005, followed where Oliver was Managing Director of OSRAM del Ecuador SA, Guayaquil.  
In 2005, Oliver returned to Germany as Senior Sales Director Overseas Retail / Latin America and was therefore responsible for the development of the international retail business of Osram.
In 2007 he served as Senior Director of Strategic Marketing in the General Lighting division (GL).
Since 2008, Oliver has held the position of Senior Director of Global Sales & Marketing, Energy Audits at Osram GmbH  where he focuses on the renovation of energy-inefficient lighting systems.

After studying physics at the Universities of Münster and Düsseldorf, Germany, Dr. J. Eickmans worked as a post-doc for 2 years at Yale University, New Haven, CT, USA before joining the Central Research Department at Bayer, AG, in 1987. From 2001 to mid 2010 Dr. Eickmans held a principal position at Bayer Business Consulting, Bayer's in-house consulting department. For DuPont he worked in a production technical support role introducing best practice techniques in quality improvement before moving into production management to develop T.P.M. and High Performance Work Teams. For Agfa he was Production Operations Manager before becoming the Agfa Graphics Leeds Plant Manager in 2005. The Agfa Graphics Leeds plant has won UK National Awards for sustainable manufacturing in 2007 and 2008. In 2010 the Leeds plant was chosen by the RSA to be one of the 11 companies representing the UK in the biennial EBAE competition (European Business Awards for the Environment).

Johnnie Rask Jensen graduated with a Bsc. E.E. in 1987, followed by an MBA in 1993, both from the University of Southern Denmark. Johnnie Rask Jensen started his career with Danfoss in 1987, and has held various positions at Danfoss Drives Division, including Manager of HVAC Business Area located in Denmark. 
In 1998 he moved to the US and became Director of Marketing for Danfoss Drives Water & Wastewater Business Area. From 2000 to 2004 he was Vice President of Danfoss Water & Wastewater, N.A. Division, located in Milwaukee, US acting across several product lines. 
Today, Johnnie Rask Jensen’s base is Kolding, Denmark, where he has been President of Danfoss Solutions A/S since 2004.
