After the success of the European Chemical Manufacturing Masters 2011 econique business masters is now planning the second annual conference for the chemical manufacturing industry.
In this tradition the conference taking place March 15th and 16th 2012 at the Hotel Meliá in Berlin, Germany, will cover a broad range of topics from lean and lean six sigma, operational excellence for increased productivity over TPM and MES, business intelligence, production planning, supply chain optimisation to energy management, and human error prevention.
While the chemical industry is still on an up trend and production numbers are rising continuously – particularly in the specialty chemical section –, competition from Asia is also stronger. The need to focus on cost control strategies such as reducing energy consumption and managing suppliers more efficiently across global locations, together with pushing for a more sustainable, ecologically responsible and thus cost effective production, has increased as well.
