In order to facilitate the smooth running of a chemical plant, organisational processes regarding maintenance activities, the management of planned and unplanned activities as well as documentation need to be maximised.

How can an optimal availability of plants and assets be guaranteed with minimum effort? The right balance between costs, quality and reliability has to be found.

After setting up processes in a chemical plant, the operator transfers the technical supervision to the technical organisation within the company – the maintenance department. As plant productivity and availability have to be kept on a certain level throughout the productive life of machinery, expectations are high. Increasing demands on cost efficiency together with these requirements are making a comprehensive maintenance strategy essential.

The conference aims to address arising challenges and solutions in establishing well functioning, cost effective and reliable maintenance strategies in the chemical industry. Key issues such as Reliability Based Maintenance, Risk Based Maintenance, Effective Shutdown and Turnaround Management, Condition Monitoring and Overall Equipment Efficiency are supplemented by red hot current themes such as Change Management, Energy Efficiency and new technologies in chemical maintenance. But also the question of how to address maintenance issues during the set up of a new chemical production site as well as global perspectives on the organisation of a maintenance strategy will be discussed during the event.
